The distinctive silhouette of the two unequal towers of Chartres Cathedral and the bright green roof of the nave dominate the upper part of the picture. Towards the bottom, the identifiable objectivity dissolves completely into geometric shapes and colours. Blue, red, yellow, green and white are the elements and are arranged in circles and semicircles in the manner of Robert and Sonia Delaunay.
