Short information about the artist

In 1827, Hasenclever began his training at the Düsseldorf Academy, then continued his autodidactic training in Remscheid and did not continue his studies until 1832 with Theodor Hildebrandt. In the same year, Hasenclever appeared with his first, independent works at art exhibitions and made his artistic breakthrough a little later with his depictions of the “Jopsiade”.
