Jean Edelmann

Jean Edelmann was a 20th century painter and graphic artist. His oeuvre is in the tradition of Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso and shows parallels to Cubism. Nevertheless, Edelmann had his own signature style that set him apart from other artists of the 20th century. IIn particular, the attempt to resolve the conflict between the angles, circles and lines in the drawing and the colour that was added later, and to connect them, runs like a red thread through his work.
