Gerhard Richter tried out the most diverse styles and techniques within painting, which is why his work is characterized by a great variety. The abstract works, including November 7, 1995, take up an important part. At the end of 1995 Richter began to paint an abstract picture in oil on paper every day. The colors of these leaves appear flowing and as if scraped. Interesting patterns and play of colors characterize the works.
