After the First World War, which he experienced as a soldier in France and later in Russia, he was appointed professor at the Art Academy in Breslau in 1919, where he taught until his death in 1930. The lithograph Camping Gypsy Family with Goat, which is the fourth of four versions, was created at this time. It was printed by Mueller and Georg Lange at the Breslau Academy and published in the series “9 Colored Lithos” in the Neumann-Nierendorf Gallery in Berlin. The edition has an edition of 60 copies.
