The movement plays an important role in Miottes work, which is increasingly developed in the later works and comes to fruition. Especially with the basic colors as well as black and white Miotte creates his aesthetic compositions, as in the work En somme from the 1990s.
Jean Miotte, whose work is presented in such famous museums as the New York Museum of Modern Art, the Cologne Museum Ludwig and the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, lives and works in Paris, southern France and New York.

With a written photo expertise by Dr. med. Dorothea Keeser, President of the Fondation Jean Miotte, New York.
