The small piece Garden with flowerbed served Cavé both as a study and as a source of inspiration. It belonged to a conglomeration of small pictures, which the artist had presumably kept in his studio. It shows the section of a garden, in which a pink flowerbed is in the center of a bright green meadow. The background contrasts with dark green bushes and trees, making the flowers seem even brighter. On the left edge of the picture you can see the red house next door, above which a piece of sky becomes visible.
Jules-Cyrille Cavé's paintings are mostly in French, English and American private collections.
