Information about the artist

Johannes Linse was a Dutch painter and draftsman who spent his life in Rotterdam and The Hague. He began his education at the Academy in his hometown of Rotterdam, where he was a student of Maasdijk from 1888 to 1892. Subsequently, he attended until 1894, the Art Academy in The Hague. Later he devoted himself to the expressionism, in particular the abstract expressionism - the large murals in the theater of The Hague testify this.
