Information about the artist

At the beginning of the 20th century, Augustin Carrera moved from Madrid to the art metropolis Paris. Here he first studied under Léon Bonnat at the École des Beaux-Arts and quickly celebrates his own successes. With his landscapes from Spain, Provence and the famous views of the port of Marseille, Carrera exhibited from 1904 in the Salon des Société des Artistes Français and the Salon des Indépendantes.
